GQ's recently crowned Rookie of the Year, singer-songwriter Frank Ocean, has had quite an impressive past several months. After bursting onto the scene as a part of the unmistakable Odd Future phenomenon, the multi-talented artist quickly gained favor amongst some of music's biggest names. Upon working with the likes of Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Kanye West and more, Ocean's talent is recognizably undeniable, and the sky seems to be the limit.     The problem is in the difference of perception.

    Tyler is a musician,  He is just also a great marketer.  Just because hes a shock artist doesn't make him less of an artist or musician.

    Yes, Frankie Ocean benefited from the Hype of OF....But isn't that how artists' break into the industry in most scenarios?
