Last month, Theophilus London took the stage on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and gave an impressive performance of his newest single, "I Stand Alone." Since then, the Brooklyn-based recording artist has been busy touring in Australia to promote his new album, Timez Are Weird These Dayz. But before he left the states, the 24-year-old got in the studio with directors Nathaniel Brown and Harrison Boyce—the first of which he happened to meet through Twitter—and shot a music video for the upbeat, rock-infused "I Stand Alone." According to London himself, the idea behind the mostly green-screened video came from the 1986 David Byrne film, True Stories. Watch it below, and be prepared to hear the song a lot more this fall when the second season of the hit HBO series How to Make It in America begins airing with "I Stand Alone" as its theme song.
