Lil Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter IV’ goes platinum

As the first week sales numbers (964,000) indicated, Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV has received a platinum plaque. The ninth album from Dwayne Carter Jr. has sold 219,000 units in its second week, adding to 1,184,103 copies and is holding on to the top spot on the Billboard Album Charts. This album marks Wayne‘s second highest first week sales behind Tha Carter III that sold 1.05 million in 2008. Kudos!
