Following up to the success of their last year offering Brothers, Ohio duo The Black Keys has already finished recording their next album in Dan Auerbach's Nashville studio. Slated for a release later this year, in their interview with Spin, the singer/guitarist reveals:
"It's the fastest we've ever played. The new album doesn't sound like Brothers. It doesn't have that open soul feel to it. It's way more driving and the tempos are really fast."
The band rejoined forces with Danger Mouse, who helped produce their last two albums. Auerbach adds:
"He understands all the different kinds of music we're into. He's got really great ideas about melody and song structure. For him, it's all about the song."
