The cover art for Nirvana's 1991 classic album Nevermind has been banned from Facebook. The cover, which shows a naked baby chasing a dollar bill underwater, was removed from the group's official fan page shortly after it has been uploaded by the official Nirvana page in order to commemorate the record's 20th anniversary.

According to executives at the social networking site, the picture was removed because it violates Facebook's terms use, in particular a rule which reads:

"Facebook does not allow photos that attack an individual or group, or that contain nudity, drug use, violence or other violations of the Terms of Use."

However, the boy who posed for the photograph 20 years ago, Spencer Elden, has no problems about the cover being used on Facebook.

"Quite a few people in the world have seen my penis. So that's kinda cool."

As previously reported, Nevermind will be reissued on September 27 with two new versions, namely the deluxe and super deluxe editions, hitting the shelves.
