Andre 3000 in talks to play Jimi Hendrix in new biopic

While earlier this week, news shook the web that a new OutKast album could be on the horizon, it now appears that Andre 3000 could be set to take the lead role in a new Jimi Hendrix biopic. As NME points out, English actress Hayley Atwell revealed that the great lyricist is in talks to star in a biopic alongside herself, about the late guitar legend.

"[I'm] possibly [starring in] a Jimi Hendrix biopic — an independent film with Andre 3000 from OutKast playing Jimi Hendrix," she told Esquire magazine. "But I don't know, really."

Rumors that Andre 3000 would star as Mr. Hendrix have been floating around for a few years already, so chances are that this might become reality. Stay tuned.

    What do you expect? Andre 3000 is a rapper that came from no money and
    is uneducated. You can’t expect him to make smart choices. He probably
    didn’t have a father growing up like most under privileged black people
    in Atlanta. If Andre had education do you really think he’d be a
    rapper and into these women who look like they eat pork for dinner? He
    definitely didn’t go to Harvard and he can’t even speak English right.
    He is a nice guy but he is not educated. Why else would he make a song
    about Baby Mama’s mamas? He comes from the black lower class. People
    in Black lower class don’t have family structure. Plus Andre’s babymama
    is putting ghetto slave mentality on a pedestal with her 3 babydaddy’s
    so you cannot blame Seven Benjamin for the parents he has. It would be
    nice if Andre could marry someone with traditions but he never will.
    Any woman with traditions and culture would run away from a rapper like
    Andre. If Seven Benjamin is acting gay it probably has something to do
    with his father not living in Dallas. Statistics prove this.
