agree with lupe but his way of explaining it was poorly done
america has been "terrorizing" other countries, history is repeating itself
ps. o'reilly is a douchebag,at least let your guest finish talking

Bill is a dickhead, but that Lupe alters his voice to "win" the discussion makes him seem even less credible...

This is just like when Mos Def when on Bill Maher

Rappers who may seem quite logical in the context of the hip hop community often fall apart when actually talking about the
the grey areas of the world.
They just don't come across as making informed opinions.

as a canadian we dont have a biased media of ANY of the coverage from beginning to end of this whole "war". its a shame the american ppl are so easily mislead by their own goverment ALL THE TIME.
     (at the time bush)
it never took 10 years to find bin laden. lol give me a break. they could have found him AT ANY TIME.
the way every other country truley sees it. its a shame most american ppl cant think for themselves and believe everythnig comming out there tv's. listen to ANY other countries news that isnt associated with the economics of the US, and youll get an intirely different visual.

  • ohyesidid!

i shouldnt have said "most" americans. sorry but its AT LEAST 1/2

  • themovement

HAHA, just remembered the dizzee rascal interview on Barrack Obama's appointment, and to be honest, Lupe makes him look like a tool.

Bill went ahead and bet this fool up... man lupe really dude, all for some kind of "i fight the struggle" points... and it was televised man this sucks

  • gaga

    you shouldnt appologize
    im sure its like 8/10

  • hugo

But at least Dizzee wasn't trying to be something he's not.

    what are you talking about...

  • Wwww Jrock09

this is why his lyrics are so deep and amazing unlike most rappers who talk about ass money and weed, Lupe actually listens and studies things in america and the around world.  any other rapper would have looked stupid against Bill  I feel Lupe actually had a strong point

fuck Orielly, 9/11 was propaganda to get people behind the so called "war on terror", The USA crashed those planes and they are the real TERRIST

People also need to understand that this has been reviewed an editied in an order which promotes the O'Reilly show in their desired direction.

Lupe isn't an artist who is going to make uneducated points.
He stresses the voice of each person, and in return is voicing his.
Whether or not you, the viewer, support it.

Being that the issues surrounding Lupes comment have been reviewed in this manner stops us from hearing what is actually being said. The O'Reilly Factor is targetting their market, which unforunately, is uneducated and ignorant.

Know both sides before making your conclusion.
    "fight the struggle"

O'Reilly had the nerve to say Lupe was miseducating his fans while he passses his opinion off as fact

I am not going to watch this for fear of losing respect for Lupe.

Lupe also once said 8Ball & MJG were better than A Tribe Called Quest. He's got a long way to go before I ever take him seriously as anything more than a solid rapper and little more.

It's really no different from what he's been saying for a long time, it's inflammatory, sure, but that's the point. He draws no distinction between Obama and any other American leader and questions the definition of terrorism. That's all.

  • Just Saying

super side note O'Reilly said, "do I have to wear the sunglasses..cause it's daytime." trying to take a shot at lupe, but Isn't that when you're supposed to wear them?

To clarify, I have nothing against what Lupe is saying. I've listened to "Words I Never Said." What I am talking about, though, is from reading the comments on here, Lupe does not present himself well and embarrasses himself. I watched part of the Mos Def clip and he sounds incredibly dumb. I know both of these guys are intelligent but not everyone has a knack for public dialogue or debate and when the start stumbling on their words, it plays into the stereotypes that O'Reilly and his viewers have.

As an American who just studied in Canada for 2 years, I'd like to dispel your comments.  There is no such thing as unbiased media, and believe me, the Canadian press is biased. You cannot be a developed nation reporting in a war-torn, near anarchic nation and report both sides of the story evenly and without bias.

As for your comments on the American people not thinking for themselves, I would urge you not to make such sweeping generalizations, especially when those generalizations can be just as applicable to Canada.

I too am frustrated and wary of the American press, and I believe the American public should be far more critical when they receive 'news' from biased sources.  The problem I have with your comment is the assumption that Canada (and every other country in the world, as you say) is any better, and the self-righteous tone.  Unless you can speak from experience, if I were a Canadian I wouldn't speak on behalf of Americans.

  • player1

what the hell were you doing studying in Canada?

  • 1love

Both Lupe and Mos Def are idealists, but that doesn't mean they aren't well educated in the matters they speak of. There is a difference between the clashing ideologies of what is and what can be, but you can't say that the latter is wrong just because it seems unreasonable to you.

Common > Lupe for declining any Fox News interviews...

Make your points through your art and avoid any avenues that aren't your specialty.

No one listening to these 2 gentlemen is gonna be swayed in either direction. We just hate O'Reilly more and the far right just hates lupe and anyone who they perceive as being "like" him.

    Now back to the music...
