Domo Genesis – Boss’ Life
by Matt Morris / Music / June 8, 2011 / 3395 Views

Late last night, Odd Future's resident paper roller, Domo Genesis, took to his Twitter to release a new track. Entitled "Boss' Life," the song features Domo rapping for a minute and 45 seconds over the beat to Snoop Dogg's Dr. Dre-produced song by the same name, which can be found on his 2006 album, The Blue Carpet Treatment, as a collaboration with the late, great Nate Dogg. According to Domo himself, he apparently recorded the track yesterday and decided to let it loose for the fans a few hours later. Oh, and why the abundance of extra instrumental at the end, you ask? Here's your answer.

Hmmm this is the Party Man Scenario. The engineer forgot to do a fade out. When Domo listened, he was like ohhhh shit! by that time the engineer, done left the studio. Domo said fuxx it, his man said naaah n*ggas can roll that (WHATEVER GRADE OF WEED) up and rock out. So Domo said WORRD WORRD (dudes cheezing hunch over the laptop laughing)

I'm telling you, take it from a man who has experience in the fine arts of Studio Fuxxery. Plus (shame plug) I'm a studio engineer.

from what i understand, syd knows what she's doing. if anything you hear doesn't seem right, it's probably on purpose.

Such smooth rhyming and crisp beat, you barely even notice it doesn't offer anything new to hip-hop.
