J. Cole – Return of Simba

Between J. Cole's first two mixtapes, The Come Up and The Warm Up, it's safe to say that two of the standout fan-favorite tracks were "Simba" and "Grown Simba." Although his third mixtape, Friday Night Lights, didn't feature a song themed with the young Lion King's name, Cole surprised fans last night by keeping the series moving. With the fittingly titled "Return of Simba," he raps for four minutes straight on a beat he co-produced with his close affiliate Elite. Will this make the cut for his highly anticipated Roc Nation debut album? Only time will tell. However, the song is definitely a good indicator that he's worked his hardest to make sure the project does not disappoint. Give it a listen below.
