Lil Wayne featuring Rick Ross – If I Die Today (John)
By Matt Morris / Video / April 20, 2011 / 3530 Views

The internet went into a frenzy of mixed emotions yesterday when Lil Wayne released the cover art for Tha Carter IV, and now we get the official visuals for the album's next single. Nearly a month after releasing the audio for "If I Die Today (John)" featuring Rick Ross, Wayne has returned with this video presented by The DOTR. In the video, the power of Wayne and Ross on the track together seems to flip the world upside down, literally, and Ross assumes his typical boss persona while rapping from the throne of a wheelchair in a velour sweatsuit. Appearances by Baby and plenty of half-naked women are a given. Check it out above.

Wayne and Ross have fashioned an aural masterpiece in "If I Die Today (John)", with some of the best use of space and rhythm ever in modern pop. This isn't just hip-hop; it's art -- powerful, hypnotic, and effective.
