Busy P Criticizes Disney for TRON Remix Album

Busy P, Ed Banger honcho and Daft Punk's former manager, has harshly criticized Walt Disney Records for the way the company put together the upcoming remix album of the duo's TRON: Legacy soundtrack. He further asserts that his former clients had no involvement in the development of TRON: Legacy R3CONFIGUR3D which is slated for an April 4 release. In addition, the selection of producers stems from calculated marketing tactics rather than actual musicality. Belgian group Goose was reportedly rejected by Disney for the compilation:

"A masterpiece like Tron:Legacy soundtrack deserved the best and I am sad to discover the A&R at Disney is apparently buying most of his electronic music in airports stores. Goose's contribution should have been the kind of great re-interpretation of Daft Punk’s music featured on this compilation."

    I've gotta say I really dig the R3CONFIGURED album. Although this GOOSE remix (which i dig) could've made a nice addition to the mix, I don't think the choices Disney made were bad ones at all. They got to feature an artist on the rise like Com Truise alongside well established artists like Moby & Paul Oakenfold. I didn't expect Avicii to be on there but his contribution was not bad. I would really be on Busy P's side if the work produced was bad but like i said I quite like the album.

    FYI he is not criticizing every producers on the list, check edbangerrecords twitter account.
    And as far as i'm concernned, I agree with him. Except boyz noise, it doesn't sound really good...
