The Cee-Lo Green Mix
July 27th, 2010 by Petar Kujundzic in Music
We are all familiar with Cee-Lo Green’s soulful contribution to the Goodie Mob and the Grammy Award-winning duo Gnarls Barkley. Oakland-based DJ Dmadness has now shown the highest form of appreciation for the music of this ATLien as he compiled a impressive list of 44 of his hits. Here’s the scoop on this nice treat.
A new mix drawing from the catalogs of Goodie Mob, OutKast, Gnarls Barkley, Cee-Lo’s solo albums, his collaborative work, and of course rare remixes, b-sides, soundtrack joints and 12″s. Aside from the entire Organized Noize/Dungeon Family there are records with Pharrell, Common, Estelle, Kelis, Jack Splash, Da Ranjahs, Eightball & MJG as well as productions from Kanye West, Timbaland, Menahan Street Band, DJ Premier and more.

His crooning on “Soul Food” was a highlight for me musically. On top of his vocal abilities, lyrically he is top ten dead or alive. So I came across this tape from DJ Dmadness via Hypetrak man it really uplifted my day. Some of these songs I never heard ever so while writing this and listening I’m so overjoyed. If you have some time check the stream above or check it out here. [...]
