9th Wonder’s “Sampling Soul” Lecture

Here is some footage of the legendary producer 9th Wonder during his lecture at Duke University. He’s currently an instructor who covers a course called “Sampling Soul” which covers the dynamics and politics of Hip Hop sampling. The panel of guests included James Peterson, 9th Wonder and Mark Anthony Neal. As you’ll see in this episode they discuss one of Hip Hop’s greatest albums, Nas’ Illmatic.
