I speak from experience when i say that, not only is necessity the mother of invention but so is being broke. While I can’t speak on Wallpaper’s financial situation I do know that the video for “Txt Me Yr Love” is probably the cheapest music video ever made. The entire video is filmed with…wait for it…a Samsung cell phone. The video works exceptionally well because it fits the tongue in cheek nature of the song and it ties in with the texting and cell phone theme of the track. The 80s sounding synth jolts sound convincingly like new aged blue eyed soul complete with imitation neon ray bans and fedora hat. The best thing about this joint though is how he shows everyone how to use the auto tune device correctly. Word to Charlie Wilson.
