For weeks now we’ve been telling you about this release. We don’t cosign anything over at Hypetrak. As you know by now, RatheMC is one of the premier MCs in the game. One of the leaders of the new school, a battle machine and an artist at heart. It’s hard to really compare her to another artist because she is unique, but if I where pressed I would say she maintains the vocal timbre of a young Heather B, the battle readiness of Eminem, the sensibilities of Lupe Fiasco and the swagger of The Cool Kids and Wale. Also, Hypebeast being involved in the project means that this mixtape pertains to stuff that you are into. The mixtape is choked full of references to the latest sneakers and streetwear. The Martin Show theme is apparent from the mixtape cover and logo and the sampled clips on the mixtape. This focal point personally brings me back to my childhood and lets us all know that this is some stuff we can all relate to. Not to mention it was probably one of the funniest shows ever.
