Every review that you’ll read about the band Dr. Dog will inevitably have The Beatles comparison to them in the same sentence. It’s not like the comparison is unfounded. You’ll hear allot of McCartney-esque screeching similar to something you would hear on The White Album. You’ll also get the ambiguity that Lennon loved so much. But, make no mistake about it Dr. Dog is no carbon copy. Throughout all of the comparisons the band still spins the music with enough psychedelic appeal and new age angst to separate themselves.
